Persian Gulf nightmare: Missile hits Diamantidis tanker MT Velos Sapphire, 1 dead

A lethal strike by an unidentified projectile turned the Greek-owned tanker MT Velos Sapphire into a fiery inferno.

Terror, blood, and nightmarish scenarios of generalized escalation sweep across the Persian Gulf, as the maritime area transforms into a vast battlefield with unsuspecting seafarers as victims.
A lethal strike by an unidentified projectile turned the Greek-owned tanker MT Velos Sapphire (Diamantidis) into a fiery inferno, sowing devastation and leaving behind one dead seafarer.
The strike unfolded with unprecedented ferocity on the port quarter of the vessel, while the Marshall Islands-flagged ship was sailing in ballast bound for Bahrain.
The explosion that followed was terrifying, plunging the crew into absolute chaos and highlighting the lethal danger that now lurks in every corner of these strategic waterways.
The management company Velos Tankers Ltd. confirmed the tragic incident, sending shivers of concern across global shipping and the domestic market.
Although it was clarified that there were no Greek seafarers among the crew members, the news of the loss of a human life in the middle of the sea triggers shock and awe.
The Middle East now reeks of gunpowder, and the security of maritime routes has collapsed completely.
This nightmarish strike proves that no vessel is safe any longer, at a time when the threat of total war over the oil arteries hangs like a sword of Damocles over the global economy.
